Comecome is a self-organized network of independent initiatives dedicated to contemporary art in Venice that operates as a fully selforganized, volunteer-driven, and self-funded initiative.

Founded in 2022, it comprises a diverse array of artists-run spaces, associations, collectives, studios, and project spaces within the idea of fostering solidarity, enhancing the visibility of independent artistic production, and highlighting its contribution to the cultural scene of the city.

The name, comecome (Italian for "how, how"), is a deliberate challenge to the prevailing structures and specific context of Venice. It triggers questions like: How is it possible to sustain independent cultural practices here, and how can we act collectively within this city?

While comecome values independence, operating free from external institutional control, it is built on a philosophy of inter-dependency and mutual support. This commitment drives its components to continually seek new methods of collaboration, whether through sharing physical spaces, tools, or simply promoting local events. For this reason, network members meet regularly to exchange information, discuss strategies, and collectively develop a shared identity and program.

All its components are grateful to everyone who helped establish this network and to the individuals and organizations who continue to support it. Please note that independent spaces often have irregular opening hours.
