How do we talk about our emotions?
Who has the authority to talk about them?
Clinical vocabulary has migrated from the therapeutic setting to workplace and digital contexts, transforming relationships and emotions into areas for optimizing personal performance. While the spread of psychological language contributes to the validation of one’s subjectivity, it also risks reducing our emotional experiences to a discourse that obscures their political implications.

The event aims to explore the theme of the psychologization of everyday life through presentations by Luca Negrogno, a professor of sociology at the University of Bologna, and Enea Lombardi, a doctoral candidate in political philosophy at the University of Milan.

The event was organized with the assistance of Eleonora Laura Pasqualetto as part of the exhibition E il mio caro cuore rise by Stefano Stoppa, curated by Federica Arcoraci and Pietro Sabelli.
